GLIMPSE - Viruthagiri was the first directorial venture for vijayakanth. Recently many of his movies become a super duper flop and hence he doesn't wanna take risk with other directors. Though the movie was an utter copy of hollywood blockbuster "TAKEN" 
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0936501/, Vijayakanth should be appreciated for showing the feelings of trans-gender (Thirunangai) people.

MERITS : First 45 minutes deal with the problems of trans-gender people and have shown the illegal export of their body parts, as they are least noticed n mostly orphaned. Few scenes should be really appreciated as vijayakanth has directed it for the first time.

DE-MERITS :After 45 minutes the movie looked as if cloned like TAKEN. Music was below average. Screenplay was not engaging. Lots and lots of punch dialogues against the ruling party.










MY PUNCH : Viruthagiri started off well, but since the story was taken from TAKEN, it doesn't appeal great to those who have already watched that hollywood blockbuster. Captain fans should feel proud for his attempt.
