GLIMPSE - Gautham vasudev menon was known for doing stylish films with excellent music (Its disguising he missed harris). His last venture vinnai thandi varuvaya was appreciated for the storyline & superb music by ARR. Personally my best was "vaaranam Aayiram". Here with nadunisi naaigal, gautam had taken a path ahead of his routine cinematic formula & let me analyze the rest.
MERITS : Gautham has renewed tamil cinema after sigappu rojakal... Congratz for his boldness to tell a dark controversial psychotic story in a lucid way. really the cinematography & atmosphere was intense & eerie throughout the film. New actor has done a good job, but have to improve a lot to sustain the competition.
DE-MERITS : Its an inspiration from a 1960 Alfred Hitchcock's superhit HW flick called "Psycho". Has the shades of Moodu pani, Sivappu rojakkal & Manmadhan. My question is "Why gautam copies, while he has talent...?". Menon's movies are well-known for good BG music & mind-cooling songs with visual excellency, but here he has experimented a movie without music & the result was an utter failure. Storyline is so controversial, like walking on a knife... again he has failed with the character selection & screenplay. Below Average performance by the artists. Nothing more to talk about this crap.
MY PUNCH : Never repeat this mistake Gautam. We soon expect a different kind of movie in your usual style.
