After receiving a warm round of applause for his debut product "Vennila kabadi kulu", Naan Mahaan Alla is the second venture of director suseendran! While in Vennila kabadi kulu, he had taken Love n Kabadi as a main theme, Here the plot revolves around the current crime activities taking place in Metro-Cities like 'Singaara' Chennai. First of all congrats for bringing out the dark side of reality. Let us Move-up into the review.

FIRST HALF -  Movie Starts with karthi Celebrating new year with great sounds n fun thro the midnight streets of modernness chennai. Karthi indha padathula "Jeeva" character'aa vaalndhurukaar. He is Such a Live-wire throughout the movie. There is a fine transformation in his dance and dialogue delivery compared to previous ventures. 4 Arts College Students indha padathoda main villains. Paakurathuku pacha pulla mathiri irukaanuga, Aanaa panrathellaam very dark crimes. They do anything for their pleasureful life, that includes drugs n even rapes. In the opening scene itself they kidnap a girl from merina beach, rape and then kills her by cutting brutally with heavy knifes. In the next day they goto college as decent guys. Karthi is a middle class graduate, who is jobless. Karthiyoda appaa call taxi driver. Karthi Enjoys life with his friends in his own way. He drinks, Sings and resumes a jolly guy until a situation crosses his life. Karthi avaroda college mate marriageku poraar. Anga kajal agarwala paarthathum Love panraar. Marriagela super'aa aadi, paadi elaarayum asathuraar. Kajalum avaroda mannerism paarthu love panranga. Ipdiye sila naatkal poguthu. All scenes of kaarthi n kajal agarwal were impressive n u never get bore. While the first half goes like this, there is a sudden twine. Those villains have locked-horn with karthis dad before, during the kidnap and murder of a girl with the help of his call taxi. So, keeping that in mind they wanna finish-off him as he remains the only witness. Police gets clue of these Serial-Killers thro a "Piece of hand" found in the dirty damp area of koovam. Here rings the Interval Bell.

SECOND HALF - Kajals father starts seeing alliance for her, so she put-forth the matter to karthi, he comes straight to their home. Meets her dad n tells their love more convincingly and also admits he is jobless and will sure get a job in 6 Months time. Seeing his straight forwardness, kajal's dad agrees for their marriage, once he comes-up with a job in 6 months. In the meantime kajal's father arranges a slum gangster to threaten karthi. One day he calls up karthi to a Bar and asks the Slum guy to threaten him. But, karthi manages to pretend as though he knows all the criminal activities of that rowdy and he knows him very well thro his close friend. He attracts the rowdy thro his lively speech. Finally that rowdy himself asks kajals father to accept their proposal and arrange for marriage. While these comical things happen, Suddenly those villain boys dash karthis father with a van in an attempt to murder him. But, he escapes with heavy fractures and gets admitted in a hospital. Again they come-up to hospital and watch with eagle eyes and makes a plan to kill him. One of the boys uncle is a pukka killer. The bad boy ask's his help in this matter. He also accepts and watches for the perfect day to execute their plans n kill the only witness. Oru naal karthiyum avanga appavum, indha case visayamaa satchi solla mortuary poranga. Anga irukura dead body, thanoda call taxila yeruna ponuthaan apdinu police kitta confirm panraar. 2 studentsoda adayalathayum solraar. Itha distancela irundhu watch panra andha pasanaga, karthiku phone pottu distract panranga, Andha time parthu, kaarthiyoda appaava poisoned glass piece'ala kuthi kolranga. Karthi, andha villanla oruthana identify panraar. Aanaa escape agiduraan. Appavoda funeral'a mudichitu, andha naalu perayum 'Tit forTat' vaanga purapaduraar. He tells the Police who comes for inquiry, that he is not willing to give any statement against those killers and asks not to disturb his family anymore on the case.

Karthi asks for the help of that Slum Gangster. Good hearted Gangster calls upon all local rowdy boys for identification. Karthi sees that boys uncle there, chases and catches him, who made a master plan for killling his father. With him as a big fish in hand he chases those small fishes. Whilst chasing them, one of the muslim boy dies infront of a running train. Three of them escapes again. Karthi goes to that muslim boys funeral, with an idea that those 3 will come there. But they see karthi there n runs to the near beach which is the slum of gangster, who become karthi's friend . There they are caught by the good hearted gangster group, doubting their speech n activities. While there was a fight between them, gangster boss calls karthi and confirms their presence in his slum. While karthi was driving-up there, those evil boys kill all those gangsters cruelly inside an old damaged building on the seashore. In the end karthi make's a gory fight in an attempt to kill them all and finally burries them under the beach shore. Movie Ends immediately. Making up a question mark on karthis Love n marriage...?

MERITS : Yuvan's Music is a treat throughout the movie. karthi's Charming presence. Kajal's lovely reactions. Fast screenplay and the 4 boys who lived up to the character very well!

DE-MERITS : Over-Violence throughout the movie (But its needed to show the deepness of crime), Impressive "Oru maalai neram" song was missing in the movie. There is an unavoidable impression of vettayadu vilayadu, renigunda and kreedom. End could have been smooth with the success of his love.
